CHECKMM(1)  —  Silicon Graphics

NAME

checkmm − checks documents formatted with the mm macros

SYNOPSIS

checkmm [ file(s) ]

DESCRIPTION

checkmm stands for "check memorandum memos."  Use checkmm to check for syntax errors in files that have been prepared for the mm(1) or mmt(1) command.  For example, checkmm checks that you have a .DE (display end macro) corresponding to every .DS (display start macro).

The output for checkmm is the number of lines checked, and a list of macros that are unfinished because of missing macros.  If you did not include a file name on the command line, checkmm takes input from standard input.

SEE ALSO

eqn(1), mm(1), mmt(1), mvt(1), neqn(1), tbl(1), and mm(5).

DIAGNOSTICS

"checkmm Cannot open file(s)," if file(s) is unreadable.  The remaining output of the program is diagnostic of the source file.
