window()  —  Silicon Graphics

NAME

window − defines a perspective projection transformation

SPECIFICATION

C
window(left, right, bottom, top, near, far)
Coord left, right, bottom, top, near, far;

FORTRAN
subroutine window(left, right, bottom, top, near, far)
real left, right, bottom, top, near, far

Pascal
procedure window(left, right, bottom, top, near, far: Coord);

DESCRIPTION

window specifies the position and size of a rectangular viewing frustum in terms of the boundaries of the rectangular region (left, right, bottom, top); the distance closest to the eye in the near clipping plane (near); and the distance to the far clipping plane (far).  The system will project the image with perspective onto the screen area that viewport defines.

window loads a matrix onto the transformation stack; it overwrites whatever was there.
