NAME

/etc/mklost+found − make a lost+found directory for fsck

SYNOPSIS

mklost+found

DESCRIPTION

A directory lost+found is created in the current directory and a number of empty files are created therein and then removed so that there will be empty slots for fsck(1M). This command should be run immediately after first mounting and changing directory to a newly created file system and upon initial creation of the root file system.

EXAMPLE

mklost+found

in the current directory, creates a directory with empty slots named lost+found.
