download − EXOS 8010 download device

DESCRIPTION

Download is a special file for initializing the EXOS 8010 board and downloading protocol specific code to the board.  Opening this device initializes host communications with the board.  The following ioctl commands are relevant:

EXIOCDLOAD
starts downloading and sets the address where the code will be downloaded.

EXIOCSTART
starts executing the code which has been downloaded at a specified address.

A write to this device transfers the code to the board.  reads do nothing here.
