COLORD(1)  —  Silicon Graphics

NAME

colord − Tektronix 4692 color printer daemon and spooler

SYNOPSIS

colord
colord [ -i [ -h resolution xsize ysize copies ] ] [ -o ofile ]

DESCRIPTION

Colord is the daemon for controlling the Tektronix 4692 color graphics printer.  With no parameters, it forks itself into the background and starts processing files in the queue directory, /usr/spool/colord.

Colord may also be used to queue up files to be printed.  Specify the -i flag for queueing the files.  With no other flags, colord reads the complete data file, using the header from standard input and queues it up.

If the -h flag is specified then the next three arguments specify the image resolution and the final argument (copies) specifies the number of copies to print.  The argument xsize indicates the number of pixels in the x direction and ysize indicates the number of pixels in the y direction.  The resolution may be 1, 2, or 4 bits per RGB component per pixel.  Up to 100 copies may be made of an image, paper allowing.

All remaining data should be the actual raster data in the format required by the /dev/tek device, documented in tek(7).

The -o flag allows specification of the device file.  If ofile is a dash, − , then standard output is used.
