     NAME
          console - console interface

     DESCRIPTION
          The console provides the operator interface to the computer.

          The file /dev/console is the system console, and refers to
          an asynchronous serial data line originating from the system
          board.  This special file implements the features described
          in termio(7).

          The file /dev/contty refers to a second asynchronous serial
          data line originating from the system board.  This special
          file implements the features described in termio(7).
