shademodel(3G) shademodel(3G)
NAME
shademodel - selects the shading model used to draw polygons
SPECIFICATION
C void shademodel(mode)
long shademodel
FORTRAN subroutine shadem(mode)
integer*4 mode
DESCRIPTION
shademodel determines the shading model that the system uses
to draw filled polygons. Specify FLAT to draw polygons in
constant color. Specify GOURAUD to draw polygons with
Gouraud shading, which colors the interior of a polygon as a
linear interpolation of the colors at its vertices.
GOURAUD is the default shading model. To speed drawing,
call shademodel(FLAT) at the beginning of all programs that
do not require Gouraud shading.
