RUPTIME(1C) RUPTIME(1C)
NAME
ruptime - show host status of local machines
SYNOPSIS
ruptime [ -a ]
DESCRIPTION
ruptime gives a status line for each machine on the local
network. The status lines are formed from packets broadcast
by each host on the network once a minute. They include a
count of the number of users on a system and an indication
of the load on each system, if available.
Machines for which no status report has been received for
five minutes are shown as being down.
Users idle one hour or more are not counted unless the -a
flag is given.
