 Name

    cpd - Copy Protection Daemon

 Syntax

    /etc/cpd

 Description

cpd starts the copy protection daemon that monitors license usage on the
local network. The SCO TCP/IP products register with this service at
startup time. When the cpd receives a broadcast datagram from a remote
system that contains the same serial number as that registered by the
local system, the following error message is printed:

cpd: WARNING: Duplicate serial numbers in use \
    on host laidbak[128.212.64.5]:
cpd: WARNING: Please re-install TCP/IP on either \
    machine with unique serial numbers.
