The SCO TCP/IP products register with this service at startup time. When the cpd receives a broadcast datagram from a remote system that contains the same serial number as that registered by the local system, the following error message is printed: cpd: WARNING: Duplicate serial numbers in use \ on host laidbak[128.212.64.5]: cpd: WARNING: Please re-install TCP/IP on either \ machine with unique serial numbers.
