    mountd - NFS mount request server

 Syntax

    /etc/mountd

 Description

    mountd is an RPC server that responds to filesystem mount requests.  It
    reads the file /etc/xtab, described in exports(NF), to determine which
    filesystems are available to which machines and users.  It also provides
    information as to which clients have filesystems mounted.  This informa-
    tion can be printed using the showmount(NADM) command.
