DOMAINNAME(NC) System V NFS (12/3/90) DOMAINNAME(NC)
NAME
domainname - set or display name of current network
information service (NIS) domain
SYNOPSIS
domainname [ nameofdomain ]
DESCRIPTION
Without an argument, domainname displays the name of the
current NIS domain. Only the super-user can set the
domainname by giving an argument; this is usually done in
the startup script, /etc/nfs. Currently, domains are only
used by the network information service, to refer
collectively to a group of hosts.
