xwud(X) X Version 11 (11 July 1990) xwud(X)
NAME
xwud - image displayer for X
SYNOPSIS
xwud [-options ...]
DESCRIPTION
The xwud window image undumping utility allows you to
display window images that were saved in a specially
formatted dump file using xwd. The window image appears
at the coordinates of the original window from which the
dump was taken. This xwud utility displays monochrome dump
files on a color monitor in the default foreground and
background colors.
OPTIONS
-help
Prints out a short description of the allowable
options.
-in file
Specifies the input file on the command line. If you do
not specify an input file is given, the standard input
is assumed.
-inverse
Undumps the window in reverse video. This is mainly
needed because the display is "write white," whereas
dump files intended to be written to a printer are
generally "write black." This option applies to
monochrome window dump files only.
-display display
Specifies the server.
ENVIRONMENT
DISPLAY
Gets default display.
FILES
XWDFile.h
Defines format for X window dump file.
LIMITATIONS
The xwud utility does not do color translation when the
destination screen does not have a colormap exactly matching
that of the original window.
