NAME
xwd - dumps an X window image
SYNOPSIS
xwd [-options ...]
DESCRIPTION
The xwd utility lets you store window images in a specially
formatted dump file. This file can then be read by various
other X programs for redisplaying, printing, editing,
formatting, archiving, image processing, and so on.
You select the target window by clicking the mouse in the
desired window. The keyboard bell rings once at the
beginning of the dump and twice when the dump is completed.
OPTIONS
-display display
Specifies the server.
-help
Prints the command syntax summary on your screen.
-nobdrs
Specifies that the window dump should not include
pixels that compose the X window border. This is
useful if you want to include the window contents in a
document as an illustration.
-out file
Specifies the output file on the command line. The
default is standard output.
-xy Specifies xy format dumping instead of the default z
format.
-add value
Specifies a signed value to add to every pixel.
