       NAME
licensekeys - serial identifier and activation key database

       SYNOPSIS
             licensekeys

       DESCRIPTION
The licensekeys file, if present, contains zero or more
license limit pairs. Each pair consists of a serial
identifier and an activation key that are alphanumeric strings
separated by one or more whitespace characters. Each valid
key pair enables a specific upgrade of a system resource, such
as the processor limit, or the concurrent user limit.

The licensekeys file is for the exclusive use of the software
key mechanism. Appropriate privilege is required to read or
             write the files.

Data from the file is examined every time the system is
rebooted to determine the correct value to set for the
processor and user limit. If there is no licensekeys file,
there are no valid key pairs, or the file is corrupted, the
system is presumed to be a uniprocessor of limited use. That
is, a processor limit of 1 and a user limit of 2 is enforced.

Entries are added to the file for processor limit upgrades and
then used to reset the processor limit.
