       ncheck(1M_UFS) (UFS) ncheck(1M_UFS)

       NAME
ncheck (ufs) - generate pathnames versus i-numbers for ufs
             file systems

       SYNOPSIS
             ncheck [-F ufs] [generic_options] [-i i-list] [-a] [-s] [-o m] [special . . .]

       DESCRIPTION
generic_options are options supported by the generic ncheck
             command.

ncheck generates a pathname versus i-number list of files for
the ufs file system. Names of directory files are followed by
             ``/.''.

             The options are:

             -F ufs
                   Specifies the ufs-FSType.

             -i i-list
Limits the report to the files on the i-list that
follows. The i-list must be separated by commas without
                   spaces.

-a Allows printing of the names ``.'' and ``..'', which are
                   ordinarily suppressed.

-s Limits the report to special files and files with set-
user-ID mode. This option may be used to detect
                   violations of security policy.

-o Specify ufs file system specific options. The available
                   option is:

                   m Print mode information.

       DIAGNOSTICS
When the file system structure is improper, ?? denotes the
``parent'' of a parentless file and a pathname beginning with
             ``. . .'' denotes a loop.
