       stdeq_agent(1M) stdeq_agent(1M)

       NAME
stdeq_agent - Compaq Insight Manager (CIM) Standard Equipment
             Agent

       SYNOPSIS
             stdeq_agent [-a] [-p time] [-i] [-r OK|NOTOK] [-s OK|NOTOK] [-t OK|NOTOK]

       DESCRIPTION
stdeq_agent is the Compaq Insight Manager (CIM) Standard
Equipment data collection agent. This agent is responsible
for populating hardware configuration information (disk,
serial port, parallel port, etc.) for the CIM MIB registered
by cpqsmuxd(1M). By default, the agent is started by cpqsmuxd
with the arguments specified in the
             /usr/bin/compaq/smux/config file.

             stdeq_agent supports the following options:

-a specifies that stdeq_agent will be run as a
CIM agent. When this option is not used,
                               stdeq_agent prints equipment information on
                               standard output.

-p time specifies the time, in seconds, between
updates of the MIB variables. If not
specified, time defaults to 30 seconds.

-i tells the agent to ignore stop indication
from the cpqsmuxd process. If this is not
specified, when a stop indication is
                               received from cpqsmuxd, stdeq_agent
                               terminates.

-r OK | NOTOK enables or disables the ability of the CIM
management station to reboot the server.
                               The default is NOTOK.

-t OK | NOTOK enables or disables the ability to send SNMP
traps. If OK, stdeq_agent will issue SNMP
                               traps.

-s OK | NOTOK enables or disables set operations on this
                               agent's MIB variables. A user at a
management station may attempt to set MIB
variables managed by this agent. If OK, the
                               agent will allow set operations.
