NAME
inspect - Compaq hardware configuration inspect utility
SYNOPSIS
/usr/bin/compaq/inspect
DESCRIPTION
The inspect utility displays information about Compaq ststen
hardware configurations. Once information is collected, it is
printed in text format and can be displayed on a terminal or
redirected to an output file.
The inspect utility provides system information from a group
of utilities comprising system and health_logs utilities.
The system Utility
The system utility resides in the
/usr/bin/compaq/inspect/110system directory and provides
information on the following
Machine type
Date of system ROM
Date of video ROM
Serial and parallel port
Size and types of fixed disks found in EISA CMOS
Size and types of diskettes
Memory
The EISA Utility
The EISA utility resides in the
/usr/bin/compaq/inspect/120eisa directory and displays
information stored in EISA non-volative RAM. The following
type of information is displayed:
Information on each board installed in the system
Version of the Compaq EISA Configuration utility used to
configure the system.

The health_logs Utility
The health_logs utility, which resides in th
/usr/bin/compaq/inspect/130health_logs directory, provides the
following type of information for the Compaq products
supporting Health Logs.
Critical error log
Corrected error log
