nwprimserver(1) nwprimserver(1)
NAME
nwprimserver - get or set the user's primary NetWare server
SYNOPSIS
nwprimserver -g
nwprimserver -s server
nwprimserver -v
DESCRIPTION
Use nwprimserver to get or set your primary NetWare server.
This allows the primary NetWare server to vary between users
on the same system, and can make it easier for you to log in
to the server you most often use.
The options to nwprimserver are:
-g Returns the name of your primary server.
-s server
Sets your primary file server to server (which must be
the name of an accessible NetWare server on your
network). The file .NWprimary is created in your home
directory and contains the name of the new primary
server.
-v Removes the .NWprimary file from your home directory (if
it exists).
When the nlist(1) command detects a .NWprimary file in your
home directory, it displays a list of servers as follows:
servers advertising on the network through the Service
Advertising Protocol (SAP)
servers found in the bindery of the primary server
specified in
servers that are currently attached to the UnixWare
system
