NAME

snd_register − register sound device port

SYNOPSIS

/usr/etc/snd_register /dev/sound name

DESCRIPTION

Snd_register retrieves the device port from the sound device driver and registers it with the netname_server (see netname(3)). The registered name should be "sound," as that is the name that is used by other parts of the system to obtain access to the sound device.
