JOT(1) — UNIX Programmer’s Manual
NAME
jot − a personal database
SYNOPSIS
jot [ -i folder ] [ files... | stdin ]
DESCRIPTION
jot indexes its input into the current jot folder. If reading from the standard input, it captures the input in a new, uniquely-named file in the jot folder. The full contents of the file are indexed and will refer back to the original source. Librarian may be used to search through the files in the jot folder. The folder is $HOME/JotFolder by default, but this may be overridden using the -i option or by setting the default Jot JotFolder.
