mvme385(1M) — ADMINISTRATOR COMMANDS
NAME
mvme385 − adds /dev entries for the MVME385 FDDI Board in the Equipped Device Table
SYNOPSIS
/sbin/auto-device/mvme385
DESCRIPTION
mvme385 performs the following steps:
1. Any MVME385 device names in the /dev directory are deleted.
2. The Equipped Device Table (EDT) is searched to see if any MVME385 FDDI controllers are equipped. If none are found, the program exits at this point.
3. For each MVME385 found in the EDT, a hardware device node is created as /dev/m385_c∗d0, where ∗ is the cpu number of the MVME385.
mvme385 is called each time the system is booted.
