cdeject − eject media from removable media disk and CD devices

SYNOPSIS

cdeject device-name

SUMMARY

cdeject ejects the medium from removable media disk and CD devices.  device-name must be a device special file for the device. 

DESCRIPTION

The medium is ejected if it is not currently in use.  If any file system on the medium is mounted or any application has opened a slice on the medium, the cdject utility terminates with an EBUSY error (exit code 1).
