hpssetaml − set VMEbus parameter AML

SYNOPSIS

hpssetaml AML [ -d device ]

DESCRIPTION

Hpssetaml sets the VMEbus address modifier line (AML) parameter through the loader task interface.  There are two input parameters: AML in hex and, optionally, the raw device name. 

OPTIONS

−dSet device file name.  This option overrides the default device name. 

EXAMPLE

The following example sets the AML to a correct value:

 hpssetaml 3d

WARNINGS

Giving the AML an improper value causes the host adapter to "die." To protect the system, execute the sync() command several times before implementing this program.
