HPS_UPDCONF(1) — USER COMMANDS

NAME

hps_updconf − shell script to modify config.input for MVME338 and / or MVME339 configuration changes.

SYNOPSIS

hps_updconf [−e]

DESCRIPTION

Hps_updconf is a shell script which will edit the MVME338/MVME339 configuration file using the environment variable EDITOR if it exists, otherwise "vi" is used.

The user should follow the instructions at the top of the edited file regarding MVME338/MVME339 configuration. Once the file has been edited, the system files and a new kernel are rebuilt depending on user response to the queries. If the −e option was specified, only the edit portion of the script is executed. Please note that for the configuration changes to take effect, the full configuration phase must be done, and the system rebooted.

OPTIONS

The following option may be selected:

−eSpecifies only the edit portion of the script is to be executed.
