  rts.dat(4)                          CLIX                          rts.dat(4)

  NAME

    rts.dat - Reliable transfer server (RTS) configuration file for the X.400
    Message Handling System (MHS)

  DESCRIPTION

    The rts.dat master configuration file contains the necessary routing
    information for the RTS. It contains the RTS local address in the
    following form:

    LocalAddress = tsap:ssap

    The tsap (transport service access point) and ssap (session service access
    point) selectors are each a string of hexadecimal digits, optionally
    containing spaces.

    The file also contains in the following form the maximum number of
    simultaneously active connections for an MTA:

    MaxActiveConn = value

    If no MaxActiveConn is specified, the MTA defaults to accepting all
    incoming connections.

    Each subsequent line of the rts.dat configuration file contains the full
    pathname of a connection configuration file, one of which must exist for
    each adjacent RTS.

    The rts.dat file is read into memory when the RTS is first invoked and is
    stored there as long as the RTS is running. Whenever the file is updated,
    it is reread by the RTS the next time RTS is idle.

    Refer to the Message Handling System tutorial in the Intergraph ISO/OSI
    Administrator's Guide for an example and more details on the configuration
    file.

  FILES

    /usr/lib/mhs/rts.dat   Default filename.
