popctrl(1) CLIX popctrl(1)
NAME
popctrl - Controls parallel output port
SYNOPSIS
popctrl [-t count]
FLAGS
-t count
Changes the timeout for writes to the device. The count variable
specifies the new timeout value in seconds.
DESCRIPTION
The popctrl command changes characteristics of the parallel output port
when accessed through /dev/vop* or /dev/cop*. Currently the only
supported flag is -t. If a MUX device is used, changing the timeout for
writes will not change the MUX timeout.
EXAMPLES
The following command will change the timeout to 30 minutes for writes to
/dev/vop* or /dev/cop*:
popctrl -t 1800
FILES
/dev/vop*
/dev/cop*
NOTES
Raster Operation Processor (ROP) graphics-based machines do not support
this command.
DIAGNOSTICS

EXIT VALUES
