NAME
jbterminate - Performs an orderly shut down of the Jukebox Manager (JBM)
SYNOPSIS
/usr/bin/jbterminate
DESCRIPTION
The jbterminate command stops the Jukebox Manager (JBM). Normally,
jbterminate does not need to be used. A shell script run at system shut
down usually stops JBM automatically. This script is installed when the
product is delivered.
EXAMPLES
To terminate JBM, key in the following command:
jbterminate
Upon successful termination, the appropriate message is issued on the
console.
NOTES
The jbterminate command requires superuser privileges.
CAUTIONS
If you are using the Cache File System (CAFS), jbterminate disables volume
handling logic of the CAFS.
DIAGNOSTICS
On unsuccessful completion, jbterminate returns with an error message.
The following list includes some of the most common error messages.
JBM and/or jbinterface is not running
The application program cannot start because it finds that JBM is
not running.
usage: jbterminate
The arguments of the command line are incorrect.
jbterminate: unable to set timeout alarm
The utility is unable to set an alarm for a certain timeout value.
EXIT VALUES
The jbterminate command exits with a value of 0 if successful. If

unsuccessful, it exits with a value of 255. Also, if unsuccessful, it
exits with a value of 2 if there is failure to set the timeout alarm.
