Purpose

Maps the 101-Key RT PC keyboard.

Description

A keyboard mapping table is maintained for each virtual
terminal. This table relates a key indicated by its key
position along with the shift, control, or alternate keys
to a character, mode processor function or string of
characters. Portions or all of this mapping table can be
modified by data passed to the hfbuf structure in the
HFSKBD type ioctl system call. See "hft" for information
about this ioctl system call. See Keyboard Description
and Character Reference for details about other RT PC
     keyboards.

Each key on the standard RT PC keyboard has a numeric
position code that is used for this field. Figure 4-3
matches the key to its position code.
