qdaemon

PURPOSE

     Schedules jobs enqueued by the print command.

SYNOPSIS
     qdaemon

DESCRIPTION

     The qdaemon  is a background process  (usually started by
     the  rc  command  file)   that  schedules  printing  jobs
     enqueued by print.

FILES

     /usr/lpd/qdir/*         Print requests.
     /usr/lpd/stat/*         Information on the  status of the
                             devices.
     /usr/spool/qdaemon/*    Temporary copies  of files  to be
                             printed.
