ID(1,C) AIX Commands Reference ID(1,C) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- id PURPOSE Displays the system identity of the user issuing the command. SYNTAX id ---| Warning: See restrictions, Chapter 18, AIX Programming Tools and Interfaces. DESCRIPTION The id command writes a message to standard output containing the user and group IDs and corresponding names of the invoking process.
