clear



PURPOSE

Clears screen.

SYNTAX


clear ---|


DESCRIPTION

The clear command clears your screen if this is possible.  It looks in the
environment for the terminal type and then in /usr/lib/terminfo to figure out
how to clear the screen.

FILES

/usr/lib/terminfo
                 Terminal information data base.
