NAME

/usr/pil/etc/vxi[lu]/cmdrsrvt.cf − This is the configuration file used by the ivxirm program.

DESCRIPTION

Cmdrsrvt.cf This database contains the commander/servant hierarchy for the VXI system.

Note that this file doesn’t need to contain the entire commander/servant hierarchy, just changes from the default (which is specified in the VXI Specifications).

The format of this files is as follows:

cmdr_log_idsrvnt_log_id

All fields are <tab> seperated.  All values can be expressed in decimal or hex.

Initially, the resource manager builds a commander/servant hierarchy by using the servant numbers of all commanders and follows the VXI specifications for creating this hierarchy.  Then the resource manager reads this file and modifies the hierarchy as specified in this file.

For example, if the following line appears:

310

When this line is read, the list of servants for commander #3 is increased to include servant #10.  In addition, the commander for servant #10 is changed from its previous value to #3.  The list of servants for the old commander of servant #10 is updated to have servant #10 removed.
