pilconf − SICL kernel configuration program.
SYNOPSIS
pilconf [-cdkbvze] [arg...]
DESCRIPTION
Pilconf, may only be run by the super-user. It performs a variety of operations needed to build a kernel which includes SICL device drivers. These include the archiving of object modules into the kernel libraries in /etc/conf, running the eisa_config utility, and the building and installation of the new kernel. Pilconf, uses the configuration file, /usr/pil/etc/hwconfig.cf to determine the number and type of supported interfaces available to the system, as well as certain operating parameters for the interface.
The parameter definitions follow.
c <hwconf>
The hwconf parameter contains the name of the hardware configuration file. The default is: /usr/pil/etc/hwconfig.cf.
d <dfile>
The dfile parameter contains the name of the dfile used for building a kernel. The default is: /etc/conf/dfile.
k <kernel>
The kernel parameter contains the name of the kernel to install. The default is: /hp-ux.
b <backup>
The backup parameter contains the name of the file in which to store the current kernel. The default is: /SYSPILBCKUP.
v Print a verbose output of the program’s actions.
z Enter non-interactive mode (assume default answers");
e Run eisa_config only. This option is to be avoided unless the users is instructed to use it by a previous run of this program.
