XCreateRegion − create a new empty region. 

Synopsis

Region XCreateRegion()

Description

XCreateRegion() creates a new region of undefined size.  XPolygonRegion() can be used to create a region with a defined shape and size.  Many of the functions that perform operations on regions can also create regions.  For a description of regions, see Volume One, Chapter 6, Drawing Graphics and Text. 

Structures

Region is a pointer to an opaque structure type.
