sleep − suspend execution for an interval

SYNOPSIS

subroutine sleep (itime)
INTEGER*4 itime

DESCRIPTION

Sleep causes the calling process to be suspended for itime seconds.  The actual time can be up to 1 second less than itime due to granularity in system timekeeping.
