NAME
     iosreprobe - reprobe a SCSI port

SYNOPSIS
     /sbin/iosreprobe portname

DESCRIPTION
     The iosreprobe utility performs an update of the autoconf structures
     of the specified port.

     Its only purpose is to attach devices to the system, which were
     powered down at boot-time, and are now to be turned on again. In most
     cases these devices will be line printers, external tape drives or
     similar.

     iosreprobe must not be used to detach or change devices.

     portname is the SCSI port name as it appears in the autoconf file.
