NAME
     mptx - the macro package for formatting a permuted index

SYNOPSIS
     nroff -mptx [option ...] file ... | printer

     troff -mptx [option ...] file ... | typesetter

DESCRIPTION
     This package provides a definition for the .xx macro used for format-
     ting a permuted index as produced by ptx(1M). This package does not
     provide any other formatting capabilities such as headers and footers.
     If these or other capabilities are required, the mptx macro package
     may be used in conjunction with the mm macro package. In this case,
     the -mptx option must be invoked after the -mm call. For example,

          nroff -mm -mptx file ... | printer
     or
          mmt -mptx file ... | typesetter
