NAME
     osm, S09osm - start/stop OSM osmd log daemon

SYNOPSIS
     /etc/init.d/osm start | stop

     /etc/rc2.d/S09osm start | stop

DESCRIPTION
     The /etc/rc2.d/S09osm or /etc/init.d/osm script starts the OSM
     osmd(1M) log daemon (OSM - Operating System Messages) when multiuser
     mode is initiated.

PARAMETERS
     start   This parameter starts the osmd daemon if it is not already
             active.

     stop    This parameter stops all osmd daemons.
