NAME
errsum - summarize system log files
SYNOPSIS
/usr/bin/errsum -f file [-d database]
DESCRIPTION
errsum summarizes the header section of an error log file. errsum is
mostly concerned with the "type", "severity", "prog" and "entity"
fields. For a complete description of the header fields, see
errord(8). For each error log file, errsum prints the following:
1. summary of the type and severity for each entity
2. summary of the type and severity for each prog
3. total summary for type and severity
4. total log entries, first and last log date
OPTIONS
-f The name of the error log file to summarize
-d The name of the database where the error log file resides. This
option is only needed if the database has been moved from its
default location of /var/adm/error/errlog.db.
