NAME
uptime - show how long the system has been up
SYNOPSIS
/usr/ucb/uptime
DESCRIPTION
The uptime command shows the current time of day, how long the system
has been up, the number of users logged into the system, and the load
averages. The load average numbers give the number of jobs in the run
queue averaged over 1, 5, and 15 minutes [cf. sar(1), -q option and
mpstat(1M)].
The output corresponds to the first line of the w(1) command's output.
EXAMPLES
Below is an example of the output uptime provides:
uptime
7:53am up 20:14, 9 users, load average: 2.25, 66.57, 163.74
NOTES
who -b gives the time the system was last booted.
