SHOWCFG(1M) (DELL SYSTEM ADMINISTRATION) SHOWCFG(1M)

NAME
showcfg - Dell Hardware/Software Information Display

DESCRIPTION
The showcfg program is intended primarily for System Administrators and
Dell Support personnel as a configuration debugging tool. It attempts to
display as much information about the software and hardware configuration
      as possible in one place.

By default, an informative output listing is displayed, with options
(listed below) for alternative display formats.

COMMAND LINE ARGUMENTS
The following command line arguments are currently valid. Note that this
is the initial release of this program, and new options will likely be
added in future releases, and the output format is not guaranteed to
remain the same. I.e., don't write shell scripts to parse the output
      from showcfg.

-s Indicates you want a brief output form, does not include as
                much technical information.

-v Display program version number only.

-t Print time stamp at top of output stream.

FILES
      /usr/sbin/showcfg
      /usr/lib/mousetab

DIAGNOSTICS
The showcfg program makes every attempt to display meaningful error
      messages if it encounters problems.

The exit return should be zero unless an error occurs, in which case a 1
      is returned.

WARNINGS
You must be running this program either after logging in as root, or with
an effective user id of 0 (root). Normal users may not run showcfg.

This program is very system specific in parts, but every attempt has been
made to guarantee that it will run on operating platforms other than Dell
hardware. It is highly unlikely that this will run on a non-Dell UNIX
      software platform.
