KEYSPEED(1) (DELL SYSTEM ADMINISTRATION) KEYSPEED(1)

NAME
keyspeed - set keyboard typematic rate and delay

SYNOPSIS
      keyspeed rate delay

DESCRIPTION
The keyspeed command sets the keyboard typematic rate and delay according
      to its arguments.

rate is the number of characters per second (cps) generated by the
keybaord when a key is pressed (but not released). The legal range of
values for rate is 2 to 30 cps, inclusive.

delay is the number of milliseconds (ms) after a key is pressed before it
starts to repeat. The range of values for delay is 0 to 1000 ms,
inclusive. The keyboard only supports four values for delay: 250, 500,
750, and 1000ms. If the specified delay is not one of these values, it
is rounded to the nearest keyboard-supported value.
