NAME
       ypupdated - server for changing NIS information

SYNOPSIS
       /usr/etc/rpc.ypupdated

DESCRIPTION
       Ypupdated is a server (daemon) that updates information in the
       Network Information Service.  ypupdated consults the file updaters(4)
       in the directory /etc/yp to determine which NIS maps should be
       updated and how to change them.

       The server uses UNIX (insecure) authentication.  This allows
       programmatic updating  of NIS maps in all networks.
