telltty(1M) DG/UX R4.11MU05 telltty(1M)

NAME
telltty - Print the names of the ttys on their associated terminals

SYNOPSIS
       telltty [ -v ]

DESCRIPTION
The telltty prints the /dev/tty[0-9]* and the /dev/async/line/*
device names on each device that is connected. Devices must be
connected, 9600 baud, 8 bit, no parity, one stop bit.

   Options
-v An optional parameter that sets verbose mode. Verbose mode
prints out a message to the tty you are executing the command
on, each time it tries to write to a tty. It also prints out
messages if a device is unavailable. For example, a VTC might
not be available if it is being used for failover. Or another
example is a VDA that doesn't have a port on a cluster box for
              every line.

DIAGNOSTICS
Exit status is 0 if the command succeeded, -1 if an invalid parameter
was passed to telltty, -2 if telltty couldn't open /dev, -3 if
       telltty couldn't open /dev/async/line
