NAME
       showpicture - view an image received in the mail

SYNOPSIS
       showpicture [-viewer program-name] filename ...

DESCRIPTION
       The showpicture program allows a user on a properly-equipped
       workstation to view a picture, contained in the file specified by
       filename, using an X viewer such as xloadimage (note, however, that
       xloadimage is not part of the DG/UX system).  It is intended to be
       called from a mailcap file, typically by the metamail program.

       By default, the program used to display pictures under X11 is issued
       as:

       xloadimage -view -quiet

       This can be overridden either by the environment variable XVIEWER or
       on the command line with the -viewer option.

USAGE
       If X11 is not running (the DISPLAY environment variable is not set),
       this program informs the user that X11 needs to be running in order
       to see the picture.
