NAME
       iopath.params - multi-path I/O database

SYNOPSIS
       /etc/iopath.params

DESCRIPTION
The iopath.params database is used to associate I/O devices that are
to be used in multi-path I/O relationships. This file is used by the
operating system at run level changes to determine what multi-path
I/O relationships to establish. Multi-path I/O is designed to make
use of multiple paths to the same I/O device. In the event of a
failure of one of the paths, I/O will be switched to a backup path.

A disk primary path can have up to two backup I/O paths associated
with it. A lan primary path can have only one backup I/O path
       associated with it.

This database is set up and maintained by the admiopath(1M) command.
The format of the entries in the iopath.params database is:

primary-path The name of the primary I/O path. This should be
the name associated with the primary I/O path.
This value is used as the search key for the
                           database.

            start-on-reboot
This is a "YES" or "NO" value that is used to
determine whether or not a particular multi-path
I/O relationship should be started when the
                           system is rebooted.

backup-path The name of a backup I/O path. This I/O device
must be of the same type as the primary I/O path,
and both paths must be on the same system.

backup-path The name of a backup I/O path. This I/O device
must be of the same type as the primary I/O path,
and both paths must be on the same system. This
field will only be used if a second backup file
exists for a disk I/O path.
