idid(1M) DG/UX R4.11 idid(1M)
NAME
idid - idi command server
SYNOPSIS
idid [ -d ]
DESCRIPTION
Idid is a server program (daemon) which accepts sh command strings
from users on remote hosts and performs the commands on behalf of the
users.
Typically, the commands are sent from idi or idisched. Idid also
accepts messages from iditools processes on remote hosts to display
messages via an idi process on the local host.
All requests from remote hosts are logged to an idid log file, as
well as through the syslog(3C) facility.
If the -d option is used, the daemon does not go into the background,
and writes debugging messages to standard output.
FILES
/var/adm/log/idid.log Log of commands performed by idid.
