NAME
       etcgroup - reconstruct /etc/group from the A&A database.

SYNOPSIS
       etcgroup

DESCRIPTION
       The etcgroup command generates the lines that should appear in
       /etc/group from information in the A&A database.  etcgroup builds a
       group(4) line for each group defined in the A&A database.  The last
       field in each group(4) line is a list of the user names which have
       the group as a supplemental group.

       The etcgroup command writes the group(4) lines to standard output.

EXAMPLE
       To reconstruct /etc/group from the A&A database, issue the following
       command:

              etcgroup >/etc/group

DIAGNOSTICS
       etcgroup writes all diagnostic messages to stderr.  The etcgroup
       command exits with one of the following values:

              0   The group file was generated successfully, subject to
                  indicated errors

              1   Can't find the A&A database

NOTES
       The /etc/group database is automatically regenerated every time the
       following items in the A&A database are modified for any user:

              ⊕ attribute sets are changed
