NAME
psisolatin1encoding - map of PostScript ISOLatin1 character set

DESCRIPTION
This man page gives a map of the PostScript ISOLatin1Encoding
encoding vector. This character set is defined in the PostScript
       language's ISOLatin1Encoding encoding vector (Sections E.5 and E.7 of
Appendix E, "Standard Character Sets and Encoding Vectors," in the
PostScript® Language Reference Manual by Adobe Systems Incorporated).

The ISOLatin1Encoding character set corresponds to Latin alphabet No.
1, defined in ISO Standard 8859-1, with the following exceptions:

        ⊕ ISOLatin1Encoding adds 14 characters at positions octal 220
            through 230, 232 through 233, and 235 through 237.

⊕ 8859-1 defines the grave character to be bit pattern 06/00
(octal 140); ISOLatin1Encoding puts quoteleft at octal 140 and
            grave at octal 221.

Not all characters from octal 000 through 376 are defined in
ISOLatin1Encoding. The undefined characters are octal 000 through
       037, 177 through 217, 231, and 234.

Some ISOLatin1Encoding characters are not in the ISO 8859-1 character
set [see iso-88591(5)] and are therefore not accurately represented
in this man page. The characters not in 8859-1 and their octal
values are as follows: breve (226), caron (237), circumflex (223),
       dotaccent (227), dotlessi (220), hungarumlaut (235), ogonek (236),
quoteleft (140), ring (232), tilde (224). According to the
PostScript Language Reference Manual, Section E.5, asciicircum and
asciitilde--not circumflex and tilde--represent the ISO circumflex
       and tilde characters.

   Character Set Table
The following table shows the octal value, bit combination,
character, and name for each standard PostScript character (an
asterisk following a PostScript name indicates a character that is in
a nonstandard location and is also defined elsewhere):
