NAME
       cal - print calendar

SYNOPSIS
       cal [ [ month ] year ]

   where:
month An integer from 1 to 12
year An integer from 1 to 9999

DESCRIPTION
Cal prints a calendar for the specified year. If you also give a
month, a calendar just for that month is printed. If you give
neither, a calendar for the present month is printed.

Note that cal 85 refers to 0085, not 1985.

Cal with no arguments prints the current month.

The example above shows the transition from the Julian calendar to
       the Gregorian calendar.

NOTES
The year is always considered to start in January, even though this
       is historically naive.

The transition from Julian to Gregorian is computed as being in
September 1752, when the British Empire, including the American
colonies, converted. Various countries switched in October 1582,
February 1918, or at other times.
